Once Hawkins has assembled his far from magnificent seven and his intricate plan begins to unravel, the action really hots up.

The film lacks a strong centre and a firm point of view -- one is never quite sure how seriously the parody of the officer code is intended, especially in the ambiguous, obligatorily moral ending.

... a sturdy and meticulous heist film built on an appreciation of teamwork, camaraderie and hard work: a professional work about professionals working.

Entertaining heist film. Watch for a quick bit from Oliver Reed.
