The Sunday Sessions

The Sunday Sessions is a gripping, often heartbreaking experience that allows the naked image of the human face to do the bulk of the heavy lifting.

[Filmmaker Richard] Yeagley crafts a gripping psychological thriller as we guess what Nathan's outcome will be.

The Sunday Sessions takes a centuries-old dilemma - the demons imposed on believers by orthodox Roman Catholicism - and gives it a fresh spin.

[Yeagley's] unpolemical approach, evenhanded and subtle, is occasionally unsettling, but ultimately to the benefit of the movie.
