Despite a fantastic premise and a strong ensemble of characters, it misses the grindhouse charm it was targeting due to cheap animation and poor pacing.

It's a far superior film than its live action counterpart that's uncompromisingly violent and dark. The tone is wholly fitting for a movie focusing on remorseless killers.

Super-violent, bloody animated tale meant for adults.
