Chennai 2 Singapore

The film is quite uneven; for every scene that generates a laugh or two, we get a couple that are dead weight, especially in the first half. The Chennai-set portions are frankly cringe-worthy. Even the visuals are flat.

Besides the film's at-times-enjoyable treatment, the lead actor Gokul Anand is a good find for Tamil cinema. He is good-looking and comfortable in front of the camera.

A completely whacky and mindless film, the film's sole purpose is to make the audience laugh and not to think.

For those unfamiliar with the film language, its reliance on heavy drama, over-the-top fist fights complete with loud sound effects, musical montages, epic romance and slapstick humour might prove to be a bit too much.
