Two Sons of Francisco tells the real-life story of the rise of Zezé di Camargo and Luciano, a leading Brazilian country music duo.

Pic is influenced by the structure of standard Hollywood music biopics, and not always to its benefit.

Silveira lets his central trio -- the terrific Antonio and the two boys, musicians acting for the first time -- speak volumes without words.

Music, family and dreams are what this film is about; viewers of an undemanding sentimental bent should find the first hour or so rewarding enough.
