We've gotten plenty of sports films over the years, but precious few that wade into the deep, dark machinery that fuel the underdog stories and inspirational tales we love to love.

Provocative sports movie on amateur athletics; cursing.

RTThe Daily DotApr 13, 2018

Condensing the story takes the air out of the ball and renders the movie flat. What's left feels like a jumble of story threads that don't cohere.
