Jefferies was as gleefully gobby as ever. There was definitely something more benign about him in places though. He was at his most persuasive when he relaxed and told extended stories about his life.

Its inherently condescending to act like this is our first time through the whole "but actually, this joke is about this" merry-go-round.

However, he manages to tie his gun control bit into a story about performing at a birthday party for Mariah Carey's boyfriend James Packer with such precision, you almost don't see it coming.

Names are dropped. Tales are told. Jefferies elicits multiple laughs impersonating Al Pacino describing Jefferies's act back to the comedian. It's a great story.
