Perfect Skin

Fascinating for viewers as it delves into the potential horrors of body modification while simultaneously offering an allegorical take on the rape-revenge narrative.

Perfect Skin is an extraordinary directorial debut. Spellbinding cinematography and Richard Brake's arresting performance guarantee this film will get under your skin.

With Perfect Skin, first-time director Kevin Chicken has crafted a film of true beauty, complimented perfectly by Richard Brake at his absolute best. Vastly different from his previous standout role of Doom-Head, Brake's turn here is simply superb.

while Perfect Skin might represent 'torture porn' set in the same world of body modification and suspension that featured in Jen and Sylvia Soska's American Mary and Kate Shenton's doc On Tender Hooks, it is also an allegory of immigrant experience.
