Filmed February 23, 2018, aboard the USS Hornet, comedian Iliza Shlesinger brings an ‘elder millennial’ perspective to her audience. Recently engaged, she dives into undeniable truths about life at age 35. Looking back at the insanity of the road traveled and what’s to come, Iliza talks first apartments, a woman's inner she dragon, peacock mating calls, and her newfound urge to squeeze a chubby baby leg.

Shlesinger uses a lethal, finely honed mix of energetic physical comedy and elastic voices to also examine the oddball relics of early '00s nostalgia and spins some hard-won relationship wisdom as a woman on the cusp of marriage.

The best stand-up comedy catches you off guard... It needs pace and an element of surprise. Iliza Shlesinger has plenty of the first - galloping through candid revelations about life as a woman - but not enough other factors that make comedy work.

At 35, she's at the upper end of the Millennial generation as it's commonly defined, and she tailors her act toward women younger than her, even if it appears or sounds as if her audience may also have aged past the foibles of younger women.

What I like about this special above all is that everything is just two degrees off from what you're expecting.
