Critics consensus

“A would-be thriller that leans a little too hard into its hero's existential crisis, Exit Plan will leave most viewers looking for the door.”

Not even the indisputable charisma of 'Game of Thrones' star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will get you through this Danish downer about a hotel for suicides. Even if you're watching at home, you'll be running for the exits.

There is real potential in this premise, and a few flickers of genuine artfulness, but the storytelling is frustratingly abstruse, making for an "Exit Plan" that's a real missed opportunity.

A starkly beautiful film...

Exit Plan perfectly balances the suspense of a thriller while asking deep questions about how we die. If the topics are not too heavy, Exit Plan is enjoyable and thought-provoking.
