Storyline

Inspired by the real-life German special operations unit KG 200 that shot down, repaired, and flew Allied aircraft as Trojan horses, "Wolf Hound" takes place in 1944 German-occupied France and follows the daring exploits of Jewish-American fighter pilot Captain David Holden. Ambushed behind enemy lines, Holden must rescue a captured B-17 Flying Fortress crew, evade a ruthless enemy stalking him at every turn, and foil a plot that could completely alter the outcome of World War II.

There are many more egregious wastes of money out there in the world. At least this one, for all its flaws and completely unironic macho posturing, will please some viewers.

What the movie makes up for in authentic flying, Wolf Hound sacrifices in a poorly acted, badly staged, true-event-inspired saga of American pilots.

If the aim of this picture was to stage some thematically uncomplicated, eye-catching WWII action, then mission accomplished.

Indeed, the planes were real, and this is a real movie and a B-Movie in spirit, cast, and probably budget. I can’t lie, I had a blast watching it.
