With excellent, carefully balanced performances all round and great chemistry within the group, Intimate Strangers is a real pleasure to watch.

Sometimes the mockery is gentle, other times farcical, and other times it feels like the universe is playing a horrific joke that only seems funny to us because we know the situation isn't as bad as it looks.

It is a well-acted and funny film, up until the moment when it slapped me in the face with the mother of all letdowns.

A wildly entertaining, intriguing and suspenseful social commentary. You'll never look at your cell phone nor your friends and lovers the same way again.
