It's not enough for the film to look great; can't we get some actual insight, too?

There's a sense throughout that the filmmakers don't quite know how to handle the line between fact and fiction, between prodding and simply observing.

Veera is a sympathetic and engaging figure, but the film is missing something. Dwelling on shallow drama, we learn little of what it means to cope.

"When life gets hard, sometimes you gotta LARP. A wonderful moving story about having the courage to face your issues head on."
