Arresting, occasionally straight-up but mostly fascinating reinterpretations of Mitchell's songs, performed by guest singers and an all-star house band.

The film boasts an amazing lineup of performers.

Unfortunately, too many of those on the bill take Mitchell at her word and produce reverential renditions of tracks from a disappointingly narrow strand of her pioneering career.

Shows both the range of her music and the affection that the world of music has for her.
