Critics consensus

“My Spy plugs Dave Bautista into the "charismatic action star meets cute kid" formula, with generally painless albeit decidedly mediocre results.”

Both a little bit better than I expected and not quite good... Self-awareness doesn't make up for the fact that it's very predictable.

The movie's humor is broad and its twists are obvious, so much so that even a couple of enjoyable performances can't really elevate My Spy into anything unique.

The holes in this forgettable, borderline creepy film are as big as the canyon in Naperville.
