I expected something interesting and artistic. I got something that looks nice but is utterly predictable.

[A]ll the dilemmas here - from bear attacks to food shortages - are entirely free of jeopardy and simply exist to provide our director-star with another chance to stage swoon-worthy photo ops by the wood-burner.

Wright is sympathetic and believable, but we never truly get a sense of Edee or her desires outside the bounds of her loss.

There are some serious pacing issues for the second half of this film. The story could've used some fine-tuning down the line.
