Bautista gives his all, but the same cannot be said for Bobby Cannavale as Ray’s partner, Andre Washburn. His performance is boilerplate.

We do not give [Bobby Cannavale] enough credit. From drama to comedy, and in this case action, when it gets hot he's right there in it and you believe every moment.

The narrative moves along at a spanking pace, and the action is staged and shot at a pretty high level. Not quite, you know, peak Peter Hyams level, but pretty good.

Trap House is a shambles of a movie that isn’t sure if it wants to be a grim crime-drama or an outta-control-teenz comedy.
