Park Seo-joon stars as a problematic soccer star forced to coach a soccer team comprised of homeless players. IU portrays a documentarian who’s hired to concoct a feel-good documentary to bolster the athlete’s image.

by and large, "Dream - 2020" is the exact same kind of inspirational story it seems to be trying to parody, where homeless people pull themselves out of poverty, or at least misery, by just working hard.

This sports comedy has some heart, but it feels rushed and a little sloppy. Dream suffers from not quite knowing what kind of tone it wants to strike, ultimately landing on playful, quirky, and light, despite the serious issues it points to.

Dream is a perfectly nice feel-good sports movie with some winning elements, but there’s not much to distinguish it from other similar entrants in the genre.
