Despite its cosy, familiar tale of finding home within an adoptive family, Robin Robin marks a major break from tradition for Aardman Animations.

This is not in the league of Aardman's greatest hits, A Grand Day Out or Chicken Run, but it's warm and fuzzy - quite literally fuzzy, with the stop-motion creatures made of felt and bringing back old memories of Fingerbobs.

Every last frame of 'Robin Robin' is a feast for the eyes, especially when there's a literal feast being covertly ransacked by animals onscreen.

Robin Robin is a fantastic animation that aims to highlight strengths rather than weaknesses. The short is beautiful, likeable and believes that it celebrates individuality and differences.
