Chintu ka Birthday is a sweet-natured anti-war film that doesn't exactly achieve the kind of impact it is going for. However, it's modesty and exuberance for the titular event to happen by any means makes for a satisfying 80-minute diversion.

The Zee 5 original wins hearts in more ways than one and this is what makes it a winner among the bustling OTT scene.

For all its expedient trappings, it is definitely worth celebrating thanks to the boost it receives from the able writing, fine acting and all-round technical finesse.

The problem isn't that Chintu Ka Birthday doesn't take sides, but that it's devoid of any perspective.
