Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia

Watching Omniboat feels like tuning in to Adult Swim with a Florida makeover. An anarchic spirit melts together the bizarre, the tacky, misfit characters, and the purely nonsensical.

As the anarchic randomness ceases to delight and morphs into a viewer endurance test, it becomes clear this "Fast Boat Fantasia" would have been better digested as a series of webisodes, rather than in one eventually wearying two-hour feature.

Those who choose to abandon ship early, however, will miss out on Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia’s grand mosaic of Miami. The film may seem purposeless at first, but eventually it reveals itself to be a portrait of the proud insanity of Florida...

Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia falls flat trying to throw so many things into the blender in an attempt to resist criticism with an IDGAF attitude. I'm not falling for it.
