J

Jonathan Romney

RTScreen InternationalFeb 23, 2020

A stately, eccentric fiction that merges cultural-political history with outré melodrama - a potentially heady mix, but one that plays out here to stiffly academic effect.

B

Boyd van Hoeij

RTThe Hollywood ReporterFeb 23, 2020

It's a movie that's all subtext and no text - and even the subtext struggles to make a point that's more complex than a blunt truth.

J

Jay Weissberg

RTVarietyFeb 23, 2020

The film's worthy goals are hampered by an obviousness that favors exposition over subtlety...

A hard to understand story, but with an interesting premise. [Full review in Spanish]
