Young children may enjoy the colorful jungle animal characters and sweet storyline about hugs but anyone over age nine may find it overlong and a bit dull.

This movie is adorable. With a little bit of E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial -- an alien longing for home -- and a tad of the fun, talking, singing animals of Madagascar, the ingredients whip up a recipe that young kids will enjoy.

This movie is clearly for kids, but that is OK. It is good, fun, wholesome entertainment for little ones. Plus it doesn't drag on TOO long for the parents.

Sweet, wholesome family fare that should win the approval of parents and hold the attention of younger viewers.
