Combining sly social commentary, mind-bending hallucinogenic orgy sequences, and a tinge of sci-fi body horror, Infinity Pool aims squarely at wealth and the dessicated morals that come with the power of money.

It seems a shame that the film’s promising first half is swamped by its second half with its hallucinogenic descent into sex and violence...

It’s a wacky but quite original premise, and Cronenberg has found some interesting actors to bring it to life, especially Mia Goth, showing that her recent turn as a bloodthirsty starlet in Ti West’s Pearl by no means exhausted her bag of tricks.

Infinity Pool is a dark, moody and mysterious film with a sharp cynical edge that is certainly worth seeing if you’re tired of easygoing mainstream movies.
