His [Iñárritu’] images are full of sound of fury, signifying nothing.

I liked a lot about it... It's [Alejandro González Iñárritu] addressing in a very meta way his own criticism and yet wallowing at the same time. Not for everyone!

This film, despite all the phantasmagorical stream-of-consciousness aspects to it, I thought had real emotional weight in places.

Still, this is arguably Iñárritu’s most personal film to date, and one that is so deeply entrenched in its own heart and soul, inaccessible as it might be to those who pass it by.
