Double Speed

Wallace Reid, as an automobile "speed" fiend breezes through amusing predicaments in his usual nonchalant manner.

It is a picture that has taxed the ability of the photographer, as it involves "shots" of racing automobiles, a crash in which a summer house is demolished by a speeding car, and some colorful scenes on the Western desert.

[The laughs] prove worth waiting for. This is principally because of Reid, but is also due to clever complications in the story, which is such an involved arrangement of nonsense that no satisfactory outline of it can be given in the space available.

This is my idea of a truly original, peppy, entertaining and wholesome movie. Wallace Reid is in great danger of becoming more popular than ever if he continues to decorate such comedies as these and little Wanda Hawley is intensely likable.
