Ferry delivers a solidly executed story that provides a bit of twist near the end, but otherwise, does little anyone who has watched similar movies hasn’t seen before.

Ferry is absorbing and fun in a way that most violent gangster movies rarely are, a credit to director Cecilia Verheyden and writers Nico Moolenaar and Bart Uytdenhouwen.

While it doesn't give a jaw-dropping answer to how Ferry came to be, it does act as a healthy prequel.
