Critics consensus

“It's surprisingly ordinary for a rom-com set in space, but Lana Condor's performance helps Moonshot hit the target more often than not.”

It's a trip worth taking.

This is a smarter-than-it-sounds sci-fi romcom, the kind Gen-Z kids would presumably dig.

A pretty bland, pretty by-the-numbers rom-com. And a rom-com set in space simply shouldn’t feel this terrestrial.

Despite some narrative ambition and an engaging young cast, this science-fiction romantic comedy becomes lost in the cosmos.
