The Sound of Identity

The Sound of Identity plays like a reminder to viewers everywhere: what an actor does on stage or screen has nothing do to with her real life.

[It's] a fairly straightforward and briskly paced film ... It's not a comprehensive biography ... Instead, The Sound of Identity is a capably made snapshot of what [Lucia Lucas] was like while preparing for and performing a pivotal opera in her career.

The main focus and star of The Sound of Identity, Lucas is captivating and commands the screen even when not singing.

It's a documentary with crisp execution, technical assertion, and a tendency for inspiration.
