Critics consensus

“Apartment 7A is slickly assembled and solidly acted, but the lingering memory of Rosemary's Baby and a predictable prequel template make for a sub(par)lease.”

A mostly-solid film that captures the anxieties of the current moment.

... A diverting appendix to an indisputable classic.

RTThe Daily BeastSep 27, 2024

What ensues is the exact same thing that happened to Mia Farrow’s wife, except minus the creepy surprise and, thus, any reason to pay attention.

B

Brogan Luke Bouwhuis

RTInBetweenDraftsNov 27, 2025

If the film had a more coherent point or was more willing to stand apart from its predecessor, it could have been something truly special. But, like its doomed protagonist, it just keeps stumbling under the spotlight.
