The third part of the Ice Age saga suffers from franchise fatigue—the critters, most of whom we are familiar with from the past couple of films, and some that have been added in, don’t really get to do much that’s fresh and new.

The manic pace quickly grows tiresome, as does the influx of cloying baby animals.

This third entry in the animated kiddie series appears to be more, um, fair and balanced.

It’s a completely unnecessary sequel so unbearably unimaginative that it feels like a tired obligation being fulfilled by the begrudging talent to appease a studio’s need for sequel marketability.
