Come Back, Little Sheba is a faithful reproduction of the stage play, together with its assets and liabilities.

The performances are, as expected, strong, but almost everything about this production remains stagebound.

To my surprise, in COME BACK, LITTLE SHEBA almost every scene of Lancaster's was stolen by his costar, Shirley Booth. She is an absolute powerhouse in her silver screen debut.

I won't go into the plot of Come Back, Little Sheba because I want you to see it for yourself.
