Though the film raises interesting questions about high school power dynamics and tries to present a suspenseful slasher story, it rarely rises above lifeless meandering through school hallways.

Student Body is not a perfect film, but I think that it will serve as a capsule to recognize future artists.

Though there are moments of joy and terror, STUDENT BODY, ultimately commits the cardinal teenage sin; it feels like it’s trying too hard.

The scariest part of Student Body is patriarchy and gaslighting, not getting hit in the head with a sledgehammer by the school’s mascot.
