Perhaps the most depressing thing about Sophia Banks’s “Black Site” — a dreary, underwritten thriller — is an ending that suggests a sequel might already be in the works.

In the end, the bang-bang soundtrack tells us what's really going on here - we're in meathead territory, which is all great fun if you're nostalgic for the VHS era.

While the film succeeds in its action elements, it fails when it comes to portraying characters of color. Every character of color is treated as fodder and killed off...

[Black Site is] a pretty okay movie that mostly succeeds in spite of some obvious limitations.
