Model Shop

For those who can land on its wavelength, it's an attractive and offbeat picture, almost as interested in its Los Angeles setting as in its central characters.

This is a movie you can dream into, even as nightmare glimpses of American sexual repression and capitalist culture of greed and war come and go.

Model Shop doesn't look like the failure of an accomplished film-maker, but like the work of a hippie-come-lately hack.

Always vibrantly alive, capturing the indelible rhythm and hues of the streets of LA.
