It’s a full-on movie that is not for the faint-of-heart.

Hall, with a great assist from Roth, manages to sell the ending through sheer thespian skill... producing something that lingers for days in the mind like a bad, grisly dream, and also says something profound about the scars left by abusive relationships.

Resurrection is an unapologetically weird film, an anxiety engine that tightens like the spring of a wind-up toy for 100 minutes without ever slowing down or letting go.

Resurrection is an extremely well-made film that’s also quite difficult to watch. It’s a pitch-perfect exploration of a woman being wholly swallowed up by trauma.
