The movie thrives when it focuses on the love triangle, the analysis of the characters, the family drama, and the slice-of-life elements, which will most probably appeal to fans of these anime categories. The art, however, could have been better.

A beautiful and touching film that is powerful, but not to be watched without it's sister film: To Me, The One Who Loved You. Trying to watch these separately is confusing and feels incomplete.
