It’s ridiculous. But some fight scenes are nice.

Tse does his best with what he has, having enough presence to overcome the flaky dialogue and a film that doesn’t always focus on the smaller details

The fight scenes are slickly choreographed and energetically staged but the plot is as thin as Tse’s barely written character.

Connoisseurs might appreciate the villains’ use of bartitsu, a British martial art created in late-Victorian times.
