In every way Mr. Russell’s movie, and he handles it all with ease. It’s a pleasure to see someone understand their character down into their bones.

Broke is not a new classic in the Western, but it certainly proves that Russell can elevate a project by himself.

Broke feels like a blend of To Build a Fire and a sad country song. Wyatt Russell shines as a rodeo rider stranded in a blizzard, reflecting on lost love, pain, and purpose. A quiet, emotional western drama worth checking out for genre fans.

Solid performances from Wyatt Russell and Dennis Quaid can't keep this rodeo drama on its horse.
