Dead Asleep

Dead Sleep is bottom-of-the-barrel true crime crud.

The question of whether a sleepwalking defense explains this murder is left unanswered, but more problematic is that on the journey to answering it, Dead Asleep often devolves into psych-speak and bland and unconvincing conclusions.

The film's goal is to be as shallowly entertaining and consumable as possible, even if that means trading documentary ethics for a slick, sensationalist slant.
