The survival thriller has its moments and Janhvi Kapoor puts in the work. However, the pace slackens and bloat becomes the problem.

I’m not entirely convinced that we need Mili when Helen already exists. But in itself, it’s a watchable film about a fierce young woman who refuses to yield.

filmmakers condemn Mili’s ability to remain a good, loving daughter from the other side of the ocean—and that just leaves a bad taste.

Released to minimal buzz and negligible box office — it is, as best, only a passable film — Mili is best enjoyed as a metaphor for Janhvi Kapoor’s career.
