Another broad, sitcom-bright crowdpleaser, prone to abusing the wacky sound effect button, this latest Mehta comedy has nevertheless been packaged with a professionalism that’s hard to deny.

Across its runtime of 144-minutes, Selfiee ends up as a superficial depiction of a star-fan confrontation, all the while refusing to villainise — and more crucially humanise — either.

Raj Mehta’s film has entertaining moments in its ludicrous comic melodrama, but its focus on a driving test is stubbornly dull. I never thought I’d see a film that would tell me so much about India’s highway code.

For a comedy that's nearly two-and-a-half hours, Selfiee takes way too long to have nothing interesting to say. Emraan Hashmi puts in a good effort to make his character believable. The other cast members just exist in a dull movie with silly gimmicks.
