Valerii, the director, has turned the film from a Western story of comic-strip bravery into one about skepticism, the pull of stardom, and a reluctant alliance between dubious, again sharpshooter and a young man...

While it all feels like a step down from the grandeur of Leone's spaghetti Westerns, that's part of the point, and part of the charm.

Overall, “Nobody” fits neatly into the spaghetti Western tradition, featuring grit, grime, quick zooms and quicker guns. ... In the process, it becomes an intriguingly meta analysis not just of the old West but of cinema’s Western tradition.

The movie is a good-natured delight.
