A perfect present for horror fans, a bloody homage to ‘70s horror and the tropes that defined it.

Chunky and imperfect, the over-the-top mashup of horror tropes is surprising enough to make streaming it at home feel engrossing, and imaginative enough to feel original in a seasonal subgenre with a limited window to find its audience.

“The Sacrifice Game” wouldn’t feel like such a lumpy blend of genre conventions if its creators remixed the past with greater conviction or technical finesse.

This is one of those films that keeps you guessing all the way through and really delivers. The plot is great, the actors are delivering all the way, and there is plenty of humor sprinkled in.
