Critics consensus

“Neither entertaining enough to recommend nor remarkably awful, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles may bear the distinction of being the dullest movie ever made about talking bipedal reptiles.”

I can’t think of a recent blockbuster that’s been raked across the coals as much as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The whole "TMNT" movie is over-inflated; like watching an otherwise tolerable music video, stretched out to 101 minutes.

A shockingly boring, endlessly unimaginative advertisement for pizza, soft drinks and the capitalist ideal.

It's the epitome of dumb summer movie. And it pulls in at under an hour and 45 minutes. For that alone, it's way better than the latest Transformers flick.
