What do you call a movie about a freshly-minted couple traveling America's backroads while they await the destruction of the Earth? The genre-blurring film is now out on disc and VOD.

Pretty young people are sad about the end of everything, but there’s no urgency and little emotional authenticity to any of it. We’ve seen this before, pulled off with far more affecting feeling.

When I’m Ready is a quietly tragic, but still very poignant movie about finding happiness as the world around you ends—literally.

Breezy and sweet, but sugar-coated and clunky.
