Kartik Aaryan makes you root for his character even though Kabir Khan's film falls into declarative, underlined patches.

Kabir Khan's worst storytelling tendencies come to the fore in the choppily-made sports biopic Chandu Champion.

Chandu Champion feels like that self-serving bureaucrat who is nowhere to be found for years leading up to the Olympics, but is seated front and centre during the victory lap after a medal comes home.

Chandu Champion has a familiar formula of sports underdog movies, but in this case, the formula works marvelously. It's a well-acted and artfully filmed biopic about Paralympic champion Murlikant Petkar.
