Ma,

...will probably have a longer life on film-school curricula than in any theater or home collection, but it's audacious enough to warrant attention now.

A bold and unique film that has 'personal' written all over it. No one else could have made it.

Alternately sexy and silly, galvanic and gentle, "MA" is best enjoyed as a slide show of visual blessings and, sometimes, bafflements.

Ma is a complex artwork that engages with movement and space to suggest a cinematic form of body-talk, a language of resistant gesture and queer-feminist transformation.
