Regardless of the fact that, for more than half a year, Lucie’s fate was undetermined, Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case plays from the start like a non-fiction whodunit.

At a lean 82 minutes, the film gets in, does its job, and gets out. If anything, it’s a little too even-keeled and efficient.

A series of archive footage, reconstructions, and more recent interviews revisit the case of missing British tourist Lucie Blackman in this true crime documentary.

True crime aficionados who will soak up any content with a hint of intrigue might find Missing worth the watch. But even they might have to concede that the telling of this tale leaves a lot to be desired.
