Munis clearly showed up with something to prove, and really throws himself into it with this manic energy, for a film with a decent third act twist.

Unfortunately, despite some really positive aspects, the end of Renner felt like a cheat so egregious that it destroyed a lot of the goodwill that it built up throughout.

Renner is a strange film that takes the topical AI technology and doesn’t do much with it until the latter stages.

A timely reflection on the reliance on technology and the insidious harm in replacing human relationships. A little egregious at times, an overall enjoyable watch.
